There should be some discussion about how replies and quotes are handled.Most people top-post their reply with the quoted email below the comments.  Top-posting makes makes reply comments difficult to put in context.Reply comments should be interspersed with the quoted mail so that context is obvious.  Care should be taken so that quote attribution, quote level and comments are obvious, while pruning unecessary content from the original quote.  Context comments are much easier to understand when the email is then later forwarded to a new member of a discussion.
