If you don't know the causes and consequences of World War Two, then you seriously shouldn't be posting in this forum. Some seriously disturbing posts have been posted here, and I think that some of you should seriously consider the morality of the issues that you are 'debating.' I realize that some of you do not know much about the war, and I would be happy to clarify. However this does not justify what some of you have posted. There are various historical debates taking place that discuss the causes of WW2, and this is not something that can be answered in one single post. Hitlers - Mein Kampf, Lebensraum, appeasement, Versailles Treaty -war guilt clause 231, the wall street crash etc. the interwar period... World War Two officially started on September 1st 1939 when Hitler attacked Poland.

If you think about it this is a very simple question to answer. The and of WW1 was the reason why world war started. Germany was the country thAT caused the most damage in world war 1 so when it finaly finished they had to pay a very huge fine for the war debt that was almost imposible for them to pay, as a result of the war many people in all the european counties were left without food or shelter. Not even the government of Germany would be able to pay that debt at that time. Soon after this Hitler came into power and he said that since the war ended they had to pay the biggest debt and noy only was it embarsing but they should not be paying it because it wasn't their fault it was the Jews fault. As every one knows everything has to be blamed on something so why not blame the hole thing on the Jews just because I mean they didn't really do anything wrong they are just a little different from everyone else plus they have money so we shold definatly blame it on them. If what you gt out of this answer is that Hitler is not only a very stupid induvidual but also a jelious bastard then I have sent the rite message to you and the my job is complete

Hitler formed the Nazi party, telling the Germans he could stop paying the compensations to England since WWI. Then he was elected and got the highest power. Consequently, he started his invasions. On Sept 1, 1939, the Nazi invaded Poland and the World War Two had been broke out! But actually the War should had been began on July 7, 1937. On that day, the Japanese started the invasion on China with the fully scale. On Dec 4, 1942, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, that brought the American into the War. After that it really was a World War. If the Japanese did not attacked Pearl Harbor, the American might not get involve into the war. So personally I think that the Japanese started the world war two , but not the Nazi.

Well, it seems obvious that World War II started as a result of The Treaty of Versailles which suspended Germans to reduce their naval force and army, as well as use no Military Aircrafts. They were forced to give up colonies particularly Alsace and Lorraine which German won in the Prussian War. Anyways, also Germans were blamed to pay $33 billion for reparations and they lost 14% of their land to create Poland. Some areas in German were also demilitarized and occupied by French/British. Germans were humiliated and ticked off. People such as Hitler couldn't believe what happened, and he wanted to get revenge for causing so much humiliation and suffering to Germany. The League of Nation (United Nations called today) failed to prevent Japan, Germany and Italy from opposing its laws. All three formed an alliance to help each other and expand their territories. As Nazis rose, through the influence of Benidito Mussolini (Facist), Nazis began to manipulate the people to hate others through propaganda, dictatorship and so forth. Many were scared from the horrible results of World War I and they'd do anything to prevent another world war. Idiots such as Chamberlain (British PM at that time) fell victim to Hitler's hypnotic empty promises which he didn't keep. He attempted to capture Czechoslovakia and Austria without fighting until he captured Poland with help from the United Soviet Socialist Republic. Britain and France began to mobilize its army and already warned Hitler if he was to capture Poland, they would prevent it from happening. So on September 1, 1939. Experts suggest Hitler was also crazy!

There is a number of reasons that World War 2 started.(duh...) The first one that I can think of is the Treaty of Versilles(cant spell). Basically this Treaty places full responisibily of starting WW1 on Germany. Also I forces Germany to pay war reparations, to the allies. Natually this does not go well with the germans. To further cause problems, the Great Depression happens in American and around the world. This stops the flow of $ from the Dawes Plan, a plan to loan Germany money to help their economy. So now Germany is in a economic crisis, with the value of the mark(german currencey) at practically nothing. Hitlers uses Germany's problems and the Germans anger at the Allies to gain support for the Nazi party. Evenually through a series of polical moves he becomes the Chancollor and then the Ablsolute Leader. As leader he moves troops into the buffer zone between the allies and german, in direct violation of the Versille treaty. He also gets Austria. He wants parts of Chezhocia and Prime Neville Chambrian of britain appeses him, buy giving him what he wants. Hitler then takes the whole of Chezohicoa. He also invades Poland. Britain and France have swore to protech Poland. They declare war. The USSR has signed a Non aggression Pact with Hitler. Poland gets screwed by Blitzkreig. Then Frances gets it too. the start of WW2 and a little more. i suggets go searching on google for better answers.

Hitler first marched into the Rhineland which was the unowned land between Germany and France which no German army was allowed to enter because of the treaty of versailles.But Britain and France didn't care about it and just thought that Germany had a right to be there.Then Germany wanted to take back the land they had lost in WW1 and some Germans were now living in czechoslovakia and stuff and they wanted to be a part of Germany again so they kept taking other countries back until Germany invaded Poland then Britain and France took action.soon all other countries were now fighting like Japan and China.Then America came in when the Japanese bombed pearl harbor on their way to main land America

Britain and France didn't intervene sooner because they failed to see what was coming, together with the fact that France's economy was totally crippled, and Britain not much better. Their policy was called Appeasement; go read a book. China was involved seperately to WW2; they unified under nationalism in 1928 and were then completely invaded by the Japanese in 1941. And the Japanese had no intention of ever going to America; that's complete factual inaccuracy. They bombed Pearl Harbour to scare the Americans away from the Pacific - they didn't think the US would go to war; Japan needed an economic empire in the East to support it's economy and a drive for self sufficiency. They chose to attack then because the US had already put a complete oil and trade sanction on them; they would lose the ability to fight if they hadn't done so then. it was a gamble they lost.

Hitler was a nazi commander and dicatator in 1933 and attacked the jews first. He first allied with mussolini of italy in 1930. Mussolini attacked ethiopia and north africa and hitler planed an attack on the other europeon nation. at 1936 they allied with the japanese and invaded Rhineland. In 1937 the japanese attacked china. then in 1938 he took over austria and sudetenland. After the invasion the attacked albania and czechoslovakia. Britian and France tried protecting it but their effort went in vein. Hitler then attaced poland and in 1939 hittler promised stalin not to attack each other or a Nazi-Soviet pack. Stalin invaded finland,estonia, lithuania, and latvia. then the britian and france. Then china, us, france, britian, soviet union allied to fight then. then after a long time the US evientually won and everybody lived happily ever after.

Hitler ordered the invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939. He issued a form of statement of intent rather than a declaration of war. Prior to this Germany had reoccupied Sarrland (lost to Germany after W.W.I) and 'acquired' control of Austria and effectively Czechoslovakia, but these were not officially deemed as acts of war by the west � i.e. the appeasement of Hitler to avert another world war. When Hitler invaded Poland, Britain, France, Amsterdam, Australia and New Zealand issued a 'back-off' last warning to Hitler, which was ignored, and declared war on Germany on September 3, 1939. On September 5, 1939 the USA declares its neutrality. On September 10, Canada declares war on Germany. June 10, 1940 fascist Italy declares war on Britain and France. December 7, 1941 Japan declares war on America. December 8, 1941 America declares war on Japan. December 11, 1941 Germany and fascist Italy declare war on America. September 8, 1943 fascist Italy surrenders. October 13, 1943 Italy declares war on Germany. April 19, 1945, German forces in Italy surrender. May 8, 1945 Germany surrenders

here are some of the causes of the first world war. Causes of the First World War. There were many causes to the First World War. In this essay I am going to try to tell you how it started, who was involved, when it happened and why it happened. �To be a great nation you must colonies� These were the words made by the French politician in 1900. This statement was very true because a large empire was important for many reasons such as trade and to get more votes. A good example of this is, in 1800 France and Britain both had large empires which then grew rapidly in the 19th century. Also in the 1870s Italy and Germany became united for the first time this was because they wanted an overseas empire but in 1900 this resulted in a competition between the European powers. This caused many problems with rulers all wanting the same territory, and so by 1914 large parts of the world was controlled by different European governments. These competitions lead to many arguments. �Our future lies upon the ocean� This account was quoted by Wilhelm 1, emperor of Germany in 1898. Germany was very keen to have power; they did this by building a navy just like Britain. However in the 1900s Britain still had largest navy in the world. This was to protect the British power; Britain soon realized that they didn�t have a big enough navy to protect all its empire. They soon became worried about the German navy. Soon there was a race between the two countries to build battle ships for their navies. In 1906 Britain launched a new type of battle ship the Dreadnought which was much stronger and faster than the first battle ships but Germany found out and stared building them as well. In 1870 Germany became a united country and it wanted to become a great power like Britain. The Germans were worried that France might attack them to win back Alsace and Lorraine, two rich industrial areas which Germany had recently won from France in a war. Also the vast Austrian empire was in danger of falling apart. Some areas of the empire were trying to become independent with Russians help. Austria needed a strong ally .In 1879 Austria and Germany formed an alliance, they would help each other if one of them ever went to war. Italy sow that this would be a benefit from going to Austria and Germany and so in 1882 the �Triple alliance� was formed. France formed an alliance with Russia in 1893. Russia had borders with both Germany and Austria. France and Russia promised to help each other if they were attacked; France had always been Britain�s main rival in the past. Britain had become very worried about the growing German power, so in 1904 Britain and France reached an agreement. In 1907 Britain and Russia reached an agreement and so the �Triple Entente� was forOn the 28th June 1914 Austria�s Archduke Franc Ferdinand was shot dead by a Serb in Sarajevo. This was because Serbia wanted Bosnia to leave the Austrian Empire. On the 28th July; Austria blamed the assassination on the Serbian government; this was used as an excuse to attack Serbia. On the 29th of July, Russia promised to protect Serbia against any attacks, because Russia was attempting to get Serbia on their side, and Russia also didn't like Austria. A few days later, on the 1st August, Germany heard about the Russian army preparations, so they declared war on Russia, this was because Germany had promised to defend its ally, Austria. On the 2nd August, Britain starts to mobilize its fleet of war ships, because Britain was involved in the �Triple Entente�, and so it had to be caught up in the war with its ally, France. On the 3rd August, Germany declared war on France; this was because they sow France as a threat. On the 4th August German soldiers marched into Belgium. This was because it was easier to get into France to attack them and to start war. So Britain and Belgium declared war. On the 6th August, Austria declared war on Russia, because Germany was declared war on by Russia, and Germany was their ally, so they had to help. On the 12th Britain and France declared war on Austria, because they had to help their ally, Russia, who was going to be attacked. I think the most important factor of the war was the assassination of Austria�s archduke Franc Ferdinand because this caused countries to declare war on each other but on the other hand I think the �Triple Alliance� was to blame because if the different countries hadn�t had allies they wouldn�t of been involved in the war between Austria and Serbia and so there wouldn�t of been a First World War. Aside from the holocaust and all of the other terrible things Hitler did, he was not completely evil. Actually he was a blessing for the German people who at this point in history could not seem to recover from the treaty of Versailles. Germany was in a moral and economic depression and was ready to put its trust in anyone who promised them a way out. Enter Hitler. Hitler was a great orator, quite capable of whipping the crowd into a frenzy. He reminded Germany of her legacy, promised reform, and boosted her morale. He invented the Volkswagen bug (which translated, actually means "the peoples car"). The reason the holocaust happened is because people need someone to blame. Hitler pointed to the Jews as a scapegoat and the rest of Germany followed suit. Adolph Hitler was not the evil. The true evil was the population who saw the wrongs and turned a blind eye. Hitler was a very sick man to do those things to millions of people. but he also helped millions of people. Hitler was quite a paradox. The reason why Hitler gained power was because he turned into a dictator, and beacuse of that, millions of people died in the hollocaust and in World War II. Much of World War II was based over politics and the fact that Germany grew so much stronger after the great depression, and the forever change of hands the country was in. Britain and France became extremly concerned Germany was becoming too strong, and so hence forth War. Of course it is a lot more complicatd than this. But this is the basic ideas behind WWII. I would just like to say that WWII is nothing to joke about - i think the people who leave pathetic messages on this site dont realise what those soldiers did for us. Perhaps it wasnt worth it for people like you...

wow i have gotten dummer form reading all this their is like 10 topics on ww2 and the rest is just stupid people talking but ill help the people who needs it. if we look world wide ww2 started in Asia with japan and china in 1937 and goning form their the Spanish civil war with the nationalist beating the republicans help full the war with Germany with experience for the German army and air force tho Germany never did go to war with Spain they did send plans, supplies,and war materials and commanders. Also they did the same for china when they went to war but they recalled it now looking to Germany they went with reoccupies the Rhineland then moving to annex Austria. GB and France did not declare war on Germany because their economy was cripple and their military was not ready to fight a norther trench war and they did not forget what had happen in ww1 and did not want to repeat it so they let Hitler have it. Next he turned to Czechoslovakia he demanded the Sudetenland which had more Germans than Czechoslovakians this time GB and France met with Hitler to try to stop him but again they let him have it hopeing it would be enough for Hitler and year later he annex Czechoslovakia and made Slovakia a puppet nation under Germany.now we get to Germany and Poland, because of Germany invading Czechoslovakia GB and France pledge to declare war on Germany if Germany invaded witch Germany did on Sep. 1 1939. witch brings ww2 in Europe and ww2 in Asia together to form the real WW2 (please note the bad spelling and some miner events not put in or some dates wrong this is intended to help people get the grasp of how ww2 started this is not in any way saying this is "exictaly how it happen" but is a rough idea on how it did.)

The treaty of versailles 1918- angered and was unfair toward germans. Hitler comes to power because he promises economic relief and to make Germany great, the people love him. The league of nations that is to watch over the world has no powerand so in 1935 germany pulls out of the league because germany is building a military which was not allowed by the league Hitler beings to make germany grow, first takes the "rhineland" or buffer zone or the area b/w france and german. this is taken without resistance then in 1938 germany invades Austria w/o resistance once again then Hitler wants highlands of Checkolslavica (i cant spell), Check agrees in the MUNIK PACT to give the land to Germany but says hitler must agree to not take more land. Hitler agrees and so Germany has DOUBLED in size without fighting! Munik Pact is then announced to World. THEN IN 1939 Hitler takes Check, breaking the Munik Pact then the area of DINZIG, POLAND is next on Hitler's list for the taking, but Britan and France say if he takes it they will attack... Sept 1, 1939 GERMANY ENTERS POLAND USING "LIGHTNING WAR" and state of the art equipment which totally kills Poland's, Britan's and France's weapons that are old use weapons from WWI ^THIS STARTS THE WAR, its sad how many dumbasses are found at just one website, I mean...WWII started because Hitler is mean?? i hope this helps anyone that is smart enough to comprehend it. lates, M a + + -ima junior in high school hehe

World war two started because Britain and France thought that appeasement was a good idea... If they hadn't appeased Mussolini in 1935 Hitler wouldn't have thought that he could get away with invading the Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia etc. Also if Britain and France had stood up to Hitler when he re-militarized the Ruhr then Hitler would have withdrawn (Hitler said this to leaders of the Nazi party). Nazi Germany was not meant to be prepared for war until the end of the four year plan in the 1940's so if Western Europe had not let Hitler get away with what he did, he could've been stopped early ( too early for him to cause the most bloodiest war known to man, the biggest display of mass genocide and to early for him to kill 70,000 handicapped German people - mostly children). PS. Hitler wasn't gay in fact he was quite a womanizer and he didn't try to kill Geli Raubal - his niece - she committed suicide!

The causes of World War II are naturally a debated subject, but a common view, particularly among the allies in the early post-war years, ties them to the policy of appeasement, which was directed by the United Kingdom and France after the First World War and expansionism of Germany and Japan: Germany had lost wealth, power and status following the First World War and the main purpose of the economic, military, and (eventually) territorial expansion was to give Germany a place as a world power again and, in addition, to obtain resource rich land at the expense of Poles and Ukranians.In Germany, there was a strong national desire to escape the bonds of the World War I Treaty of Versailles, and eventually, Hitler and the Nazis assumed control of the country by calling for a heroic mass effort to restore past glory. They led Germany through a chain of events: rearmament, reoccupation of the Rhineland, incorporation of Austria ("Anschluss"), dismemberment and occupation of Czechoslovakia and finally the invasion of Poland. Some academics have gone so far in linking the Treaty of Versailles directly to the conflict as to claim that the European theatres of World War I and II actually constitute a single conflict with a 22-year ceasefire (much as the 1337-1453 Hundred Years War is treated as a single conflict). The London School of Economics has gone so far along this route that its history department now teaches a course entitled "European Civil War 1890 to 1945"[3]. WW2 really started when Hitler invaded Poland. After WW1 Germany was blamed for starting it, so Germany was held responsible for all of the repair damages and a lot of Germany was taken and given to other countries. This of course left Germany really poor. Hitler took advantage of Germany's bad situation and started out looking like he just wanted to help Germany get back on it's feet. He was eventually given command of the German army and given much more power than should have been given him. Hitler used Germany's army to gain new territories. He didn't want other countries to start worrying that he was conquering so many territories, so Hitler said that he just wanted one more territory and then he would stop. Before attacking Poland, he signed a treaty with Russia saying that they wouldn't attack each other. He did this because Russia was powerful and allies with Poland. He didn't want to fight Russia because they would beat him, but he wanted to have Poland, so that was the whole deal with the treaty. When Hitler finally did attack Poland, it was a big signal to all the other countries that Hitler needed to be stopped. That is how and why WW2 started.

bob the builder made hitlers house all wonky so hitler killed him then rollley and skoop and every1 decided to hav a war with him. rolley rolled on top of him but he sprung back up then all the world decided to stick up for bob the builder cus he rules and they raped hitler

After ww1 there was a fall of goverments in many countries resulting in the end of the ruile of royal families of Germany, Russia Austria-Hungary and Turkey This brought unease and soon Japan and Germany were trying to take over the world.

Hitler is smart in an evil way, he doesn't use his intelligence in a good way, he goes and kill people without any reason and tried to rule over the world, so he started wars with other countries. Following to history, Hitler was crazy, he loved his relative so much that he tried to kill her, what a poor guy, this is what I think which caused world war 2

After War World 1, Germany became a very poor and weak country, and many Germans felt humiliated. They lost faith in the goverment in ruling the country so when Hitler rose out of the troubled times and promised to lead the Germans out of the darkness, many Germans believed him and supported his ideas. Slowly, they strengthened Germany's army and conquered other European countries. Itay supported Germany and they became the Axis Powers. When Britain and France knew about it, they formed a group called Allies to fight with the Axis Powers. This is how World War 2 started.

I think WW2 started because of discrimination. Think about Japanese and Canadians and the racist ideas and thoughts that got into the system. In throughout Japan they captured Canadian Polices and did horrible things meanwhile people in Canada were afraid of anyone Japanese or anyone that had Japanese racial origin. They set up camps and farms for the good of the country although this was not the fairest thing to do. They wanted to separate a different culture so that if anymore spies from Japan came they would be easier to spot and get rid of. In both ways this was not fair, and the only excuse we have is, "Well that was War."
