If I tap a creature to attack, 1)how long does it stay tapped 2)can i block with it on my opponents turn

1) Unless you use external effects to untap something, at the beginning of YOUR turn, you have an untap step. In this step you simultaneously untap all your permanents that are tapped. So basically, if you attack, you wait all the way until the beginning of your next turn to untap.

2)During your opponents "declaration of blockers" step, you may only announce blockers that are untapped. Basically, you cant block with a tapped creature.

1)You untap it at the biggening of your turn UNLESS you use an other card to untap it.
2) No, you can't block with an untaped creature
