I am a novice and I am learning the importance of the amount of torque applied to a plug is crucial to successfully picking a lock. Can anyone give me information on Sping loaded circular tension tools? Would such a tool give you an advantage and take a degree of "guess-tamating" out of picking?

I like a ridged tension wrench but sometimes use the return spring on the knob to set the tension. The spring tension wrenches don't have the strength to turn a lot of locks and the fumble factor can cause the need to pick the lock twice. However the springs help when my hands are cold. They also teach tension recognition to the hands with a visual calibration.
