Is my female pregnant?

I unfortunately had to go to work today. My wife and children were home. I have a black female lab, 4 years old and on the 10th day of her heat. Well, we also are babysitting a friends male lab. What the kids(8 and 9) didn'tunderstand about breeding, they ended up getting them both together today outside to play. I'm sure something went on until my wife finally stopped them maybe hours later. (she knew the kids were outside, but not both dogs) So my concern is...The male is one year old. After sitting down with the children, they saw and learned what the dogs were doing, but they didn't seem like the dogs had a chance to lock. So my question is, Is she still a candidate for being preg?

If your female was 10 days into her heat cycle there is a good possibility that she was ready for a male. the dogs might have been out of the kids sight for awhile but I don't think she would let the male on for a while then make him get off so the kids probably would have seen it if it happened. You just have to wait for signs of pregnancy to tell is my guess. there's no way to know. Tanisha

your cat will be pregnant for about 63 days. No your cat does not have to eat the after birth to produce milk she should already have produced milk. The afterbirth helps them so that they are not hungry right after delivery, also it is good from the to produce more milk and good milk, but it is NOT manditory that they eat it.
