My firewall(Sygate)is blocking access to "Generic Host Process for Win32Services(sychost.exe)". Should I allow this connection? I have recently removed the Blaster & Welchia worms hence my caution. I am a novice user!

Exactly the same applies to me: novice user, have got Blaster, Sygate-firewall blocks sychost.exe. Just in case, I block everything until it is quite clear, that a desired process does not work without allowing access. Only in this case, I allow.
