Henna tattoo vs. real tattoo... I got a henna tattoo and must have had an allergic reaction to the ink because I developed a red bumpy rash over the area.  I kind of have sensitive skin.  Anyways, I was wondering that if I get a real, permanent tattoo, am I likely to get a rash from it as well?  Or are there better inks available for people with sensitive skin?

No. Henna artists typically put essential oils (To enhance the stain and make it smell better) into their pastes and you are probably allergic to those since a allergy to the actual henna is extremely rare.

And anyway, real tattoos don't use the same stuff as a henna tattoo.

Btw, next time you get a henna tattoo, ask the artist to lighten up on the oils.

I have sensitive skin too.  I got one of those henna tattoos and was allergic to it.  My reaction started only 2 days after I got it.  I still have a skin rash and it has almost completely faded in 1 week.  I want a real tattoo.  I was wondering if I would have an allergic reaction to that ink as well.

it depends on where you get the tattoo, mine barely hurt, and my ex laughed and said it tickled her when she got hers.
