I have problem to read the temperature from m68hc11 using vb...

I have problem to read the temperature from m68hc11 using vb 6.0. It only shows the temperature reading when I reset the microcontroller. I have create the program using timer in vb 6 so that it will read the temperature from microcontroller based on sampling time used by the timer. I'm not sure either it is  due to of hardware of software. Before this my project is working... How must I do? Please tell me.
