Speeding ticket fines vary depending on the exact statute number of the violation and are at the judge's discretion.

The clerk of court listed on your speeding tiket can advise you of the fine provided you want to plead guilty, which I do not recommend.

I got a ticket for failing to yield for an emergency vehicle. what had happen was the fire truck was coming at me in my Lane i tried to merge to the right to get out of its way and as i did that the truck started merging also. if i were to stop i would be stuck right in front of the fire truck so i slowly went around it. I  didn't see the fire truck soon enough to stop because it was coming from a curved street.

I just did not the brightest thing and threw a lit cigarette out of my car, and was given a ticket by the CA Hwy. Patrol. I happy to know they are doing a good job and fell bad for what I did, since I did it without thinking in front of him as he was looking right at me and just after I passed 2 Fire engines who had responded to a collision, I have no excuse; not even the "Dumb Blonde" would work in this situation.

I would like to inquire as to what the fine is for such a thing. I live in Ventura County, CA and the code written by the CHP Officer is 23111 - Throwing a lit cigarette from the vehicle.

Thank you for your help,

Stephanie aka. The Glimmer
