  I downloaded a virus by accident on a site and it will not let me open anything what so ever on one of my user names. I would delete the user name but I have a few very important documents that I cannot access on the other user names. What should I do?

ok in order to get rid of this new virus or prevent it you need to update your system. the virus only wants people with Microsoft windows.. if you have windows go and update it with all update and you will be ok... and for spyware you can go to this website and download it for free and your computer cleaned from spyware..

Hi If you are looking to get rid of viruses the best thing to do would go on to the windows website and download the patches or it. Or find the location of the virus by going to start and then run and type the location of it and then delete it.  To avoid gettting virus keep your computer up to date by ahving the latest anti-virus and using windows update.

Hey guys how do i get rid of a virus so called Sasser virus (thts meant 2 slow it down) but it says on blueyonder web page how do get rid of it but it doesnt work and it says go in task Manager then processes then i look for this thing (the virus ) called Isass.exe but when i find i try 2 do end tree on it but it says this is a running thing and cannot end this tree!

people with viruses, you need to get a virus protector like norton anti-virus. you should always have a virus protector and make sure that your children have restrictions on downloads. Also, contact your internet source provider, usually they are willing to help.

Listen. Download a trial version or buy a version of spy warew remover, ad-adware remover, also, you'll need a antivirus program. LIke McAfee or even memory eatin' Norton. They'll go through and pull it. Its not hard. Now keep running the program several times to make sure you got it. Otherwise, they may still lurk.

If not, that is why they say to back up your hard drive. Just reformat and reinstall everything all over again.

Pain, yes, will it be gone, yes....

If u hav an iternet virus downlode microsoft antispyware and if your internet is slow go onto my computer click control panel click performance and maintanence and do a disk clean-up. duh you've got to learn how to use a computer before u buy one

whatever you do NEVER EVER download adware it gave me a trojan virus! thats y its free, u get the software for free, they give you the virus it wrecks your computer and then you have to pay for their software to fix it. seriously don't do it, they will get you.

try getting zone alarm firewall/ internet security suite, it should prevent most people from haxxing you. If you get the suite you also get an anti-spam and anti-spyware and ant-virus etc. you get a free 15 day trial (full functional i think) so download that use all the tools, then download the free version of the firewall and you should be sorted ^^

can anyone help me??? ive gt a virus on my computer and it wont let me sign into it!!! this is very annoying as when i try and sign on the computer reboots itself! if you can help my msn addy is habib921@hotmail.com plz help meeeee!

um.. hi, i to have a virus, it had to do with msn, im not sure if anyone still goes here but if you know how to help please email me at xoxkldxox@hotmail.com, the virus was sent to me by a link that someone sent me, something like is this you in that picture, my little sister clicked it not knowing what it was thinking it was an actual picture, well there goes this computer, i did alot of spyware and virus scans but its still on my computer, i can access th net no but my msn is all messed, i even reinstalled it,  well Ive wrote so much but if someone can help that would be great my emails above so please please if u know how to get rid of this beside window update let me now, i have a genuine version of windows because of my brother so updating it don't work

I got a trojan virus and everytime i open the internet it changes my homepage to a virus remover page...it says its the virus that steals ur password...how do i get rid of it?

to get rid of your viruses you need to wipe your computer, this will delete all of your stuff and you will have to install everything back on to your computer, but it got rid of my virus and my computer is faster.

If your having problems with trojan vundo ill tell you what to do..
Buy the new nortons antivirus 2007 as soon as it is loaded it will get rid of it..
2006 nortons was useless..

how to get rid of a trojan
you should not need to reformat.firstly you should download avg'sfree antivirus.its at grisoft. next if you have windows m.e it is quite easy to get rid of the trojan horses.run avg and it will heal ALMOST all the files.you will then be left with a file of the trojan (or several files depending on which it is) in your restore file.make a note of the numbers that avg comes up with these will be cpy files.then you will need to unhide all hidden files. this will result in showing your restore file DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE... next right click my computer.then right click properties.click the performance tab.at the bottom of that page click the file system tab.on the next page click troubleshooting.then on the final page find the disable restore file and check the box and click apply.you will then need to restart your computer.it might start in safe mode but usually M.E starts straight up.before looking for the files by hand open my computer then open c drive and right click on the restore file you will be presented with a chance to scan again with avg do this and you will probably find the trojan has automatically been deleted of not you will have to search for the files by hand and delete them. this sounds like a a lot of work but it only takes about 5 mins from start to finish once you have avg installed.i get trojans as reguler as clockwork and find this is as easy a way as any to get rid of them again.for other malware i suggest "spybot search and destroy 1.2" this gets rid of spyware and also CWShredder for any other annoying little problems.all three can safely be run side by side and all are free for home users.hope this helps some of you at least.
