1) Use up to date AV (anti-virus)software
2) make regular backups
3) reformat disk and reload the OS , programs and your data
3) Use and Instant Recovery program like Instant DR (found at lightnet.com) to save a duplicate of your MBR and complete system on a protected partition or to a single large file on another machine

I have a virus on my computer entitled
" I-Worm/Netsky.B ". I have an anti virus, but how to I heal the file. I have AVG, and when I go into the virus vault, right click the virus, and press 'heal', it somehow can't heal it. How can I get rid of this virus. Question, does deleting the virus while it's in my virus vault mean that the virus is gone off my pc, or is it still there, just not in my vault?

Question? My computer got a virus on it here is what happened.....
The mouse started running everywhere across the screen. The start menu popped up as well as some other boxes. After about a min, the mouse stopped. I clicked on the start menu to get rid of it, and a blue screen popped up for just a second. Now, the keyboard and mouse do not work in windows. The computer recognizes the keyboard and I can use it in the setup mode, but not in windows? Any idea how to cure this problem, without wiping my computer clean (this is my business computer, and I need all the information on it.)? E-mail with your answer michael@whatknotcity.com

usually if you delete the file containing the virus the virus will also be gone and if u delete it out of your vault its probably gone out of computer too unless it has made copies of it self which most viruses do but just incase Scan your computer. most Anti-viruses come with a scanning program which will scan your computer for you and the Norton anti- virus will cure your computer theres like a 80 percent chance that it will but if you want to be extra sure you should get the latest version cuz it comes with better features and easier way of getting rid of viruses
