I am looking for unusual baby names, and a friend suggested the name Kelty for a girl.  I was wondering if there are any meanings behind this name, or if  it is just made up.  I really enjoy the name and think that if the meaning is right, then my baby girl will be blessed forever.

My name is Kyla. When I was younger, I wasn't real fond of the name because I could never find anything personalized. Now- I love it. I only know a few other Kylas and it's nice to be different from all the Jennifers, Christys, Staceys, etc.

My name is Kelty and my parents named me that since I was born on St. Patrick`s day (Ireland`s national day) Its a last name, a towns name, meaning strong and hard, and it aslo means water. The name Kelty is very much an Irish name, but wether your Irish or not it is pretty unique but not in a way were people have trouble remembering (just get use to getting her called Kelsey lol)
