Dog's are pregnant 58-66 days from the first day of mating. If you have a chihuahua you should go with the minimum. If you want more information e-mail me at stanishas@aol.com

I think it is 30 to 50 days
Do you know why i think  that day is right?
Because i had a pet 'Chiwawa '
It was female that's why i know that They are pregnan for 30 to 50 days

If it was that early then the pups died from premature birth or you counted wrong. You probably started counting from the first signs of pregnancy and that's where you went wrong. They don't start showing for a few weeks along.

What I think, is  that you should get a person who knows about these things and have had these experiences.Because if you think about it there are trillion's of dogs pregnant at the time and right now I have a dog that is pregnant and she has about 3 weeks left. Also it depends what kind of dog you have.And also check for signs, like eating less, sleeping more, and also if its temperature is dropped down to 98 F or less then your dog will have it pups  in about 24 hours. And if it does not have its temp back to 101 F in 1 or 2 days then bring your dog to the vet immediately.

Dogs take longer in labor because they don't know how to push and most of them go into shock when it's their first time going into labor.

I think that the average pregnancy is about 45 to 65 days. The main signs are eating less and sleeping more, her belly will probably increase in size to. About 30 to 40 days after the breeding check her temperature about twice a day if her temperature is around 101 and 102 then she is fine but if her temperature drops to about 99 or 98 then she is near BIRTH. It should be around 24 hours later when birth starts.When she starts to breath heaver or pace then you should call her vet especially if its her first labor. I hate chiwawas and the longer they a pregnant the better.  I don't want anymore of the little bastards clogging up space for REAL dogs like German Sheppards and stuff.

What Happens if my Chihuahua by accident ate a piece of chicken bone..Now i no its horrible for that to happen but i didn't let her have it. I Was Downtown and my mom was watching this seven year old, anyway the seven year old was eating fast food chicken and i guess dropped a bit of the bone because when i came home..like 5 minutes later..my puppy(shes 3 months old)chihuahua was chewing on the bone and biting it! i was so scared i grabbed it out of her mouth and told the child to make sure not to leave or drop his food anywhere! i couldn't get mad at him he didn't no he was doing wrong.ANYWAY my question is i no it clogs up the intestines but does it always result in a horrible ending if a dog swallows a bit of bone only once? or not? PLEASE somebody answer me its really important to me.

C'mon people. If you can't spell the breed's name you shouldn't be breeding it!

Breeding your dog can be extremely expensive and, for the average inexperienced owner, may cost you your dogs life. Please spay and neuter your dogs for their own health.

I have a Dockson also known as a weenie dog.  I think my dog is pregnant since her nipples have enlarged and are filled with milk.  Does anyone know at what week she is at by this sign? Also is it true that a dogs pregnancy lasts 9 weeks?  Does anyone have this expierience in pregnant Docksons?

I think that chiwawas are pregnant for usually 40-65 days. How i know i used to have a chiwawa named dixie. Usually when her temp. starts dropping she is about to have her pups soon. In abotu 24 hours.

The usual pregnancy is from about 45-65 days, depending on the weight of the dog. The larger the dog, the shorter the pregnancy. If she goes any farther than 80-85 days then you should take her to the vet. trust me, I'm a dog breeder!!

my dog is pregnet with her fourth litter. how long will this take? the daddy of these puppies is one of herpuppies from the first litter. will this effect on her or her puppies? i have had to take her to a vet for milk fever. will this effect anthing?

it is better to get a pup so you can build abound sines puppy hood. But you do have to train it.Adults tend to be in a shelter alot so you can see if theres a special.It depends on you the person

It depends think about which would be better, I have three and we got one of them as a puppy.

Chihuahuas in general tend to require a lot of attention, but puppies require more than an adult.  Think of how much free time you get, then make a decision.

Chiwawa is a very small dog so by feeling the belly it is easy to feel if your dog is pregnant the dog is pregnant for about 3 to 4 weeks before giving birth to around 3-5 pups make sure when deliverd they are keeped warm until they can have there first feed !!!

It depends how much you are willing to work. A puppy will need to have potty training and more feeding times. On the brightside it will be easier to socialize the puppy and it will get used to you faster than an adult. An adult has normally grown up with other people so it may not accept a new owner. Adult dogs have normally been potty trained already and only have about two feeding times during the day (puppies have about 4!)

58-66 days because I have 2 female dogs that have already had puppies but my puppies are poodles. I also have 2 male dogs. Unfortunately the wrong ones mated than from the ones I wanted to. So I guess I'm going to try again and hope for the best. I will let you know what my results are as soon as I do get more puppies.

this is a question. My chiwawa is very sick she has slept for 2 days strait and her eyes are almost swollen shut. Theres ALOT of snotty disscharge comming from her eyes, and she hasnt had her shots yet. Do you think she is sick or is she preganate. I'm working on getting her to the vet but i just wanted to know if anyone had these signs in their dog too...soo.. please let me know I'm very scared for her:(

I think it's better to get a pup who has more experience with birth because they would know what to do when it's time. If you get a pup they know more less what to do.

I have a puppy Chi, she is pure white.  I payed 300$ for her because the lady I who sold her to me I know well.  She is not fixed,  and plan to breed her.  If her pups are pure white as she is..  how much should I ask for them?  Thanks

For the person who said that there dog is dieing and she has pups. the best thing to feed the pups is esbilic formula for nursing puppies. You can get it at your vet or a feed store. The pups need to be on this for atleast 3 more weeks. You know you will have to bottle feed them..... if you can not find the esbilic then infomal baby formula "without" iron will work.make sure it has no iron in it.

You should get a baby cause you want a dog that suits your personalty and if theres a problem or somthing it will be easy to give away....God 4 bid Be sides Why would want an adult over a lil cuttie?

i want to mate my chihuahua i just want to know when exactly she would be in heat{having her period}. DON'T BREED YOUR CHI UNTIL ITS AT LEAST 2 YEARS OLD!!!  ALSO DON'T BREED YOUR DOG UNLESS YOU HAVE THE TIME, MONEY AND COMMITMENT TO DO SO, OTHER WISE YOU WILL START ANOTHER CASE OF ANIMAL CRUELTY.  THINK ABOUT ANIMALS INSTEAD OF YOURSELF FOR A CHANGE.

Dogs are pregnant for 58 to 65 days. with the most normal day for delivery being around 63 days. i breed italian greyhounds and great danes and i have had many litters. some of these anwsers are just astounding in how wrong they are. the best way to know is to have an xray done this can be done after 45 days because fetal skeletons have not calcified until after 45 days. you really need to know the first day that your female was bred. this is how all this is calculated. i usually start taking my dogs temperature morning and evening about the 55 day. this way i have an even graph to see what her normal temperature is. (try to take her temp when she is in resting mode as vigorous activity and also outside temperature can affect her temperature) if it is 98 DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG. too many people go out and leave thier dog and come home to dead puppies. IF you wanted to breed your dog then you need to see it through from the first breed date till the last puppy is placed at 8 weeks or for smaller breeds 10 or 12 weeks. if anybody needs more information please email me at broken_crossT@yahoo.com. i welcome all questions i just want more people to be educated when they breed thier dogs.

Hi, I have a chiwawa who just had puppies, literally yesterday, it took her about 60 days. You have to remember though that the time of pregnancy varies by the size, weight and how you take care of it. If your chiwawa is a mini it might take less time, also what type of chiwawa is it? I have 2 deer head chiwawas, the female is a long hair, so yours might take longer or even less time to give birth. I hope I'm some help to you, have fun with the puppies.

this is how you spell chihuahua. I think if you are going to sell the puppies, you might want to know how to spell the breeds name. Dogs are pregnant between 57-65 days. You should ask your vet for more info or do research.

I know all dogs are preganecy 62 days if dog has puppies early or to late you missed counted the first day she was bred to boy.The best this to do is on the 40th to 45th day you need to have a vet exam with an ultra-sound to see how maney puppies are there and how far along she is and also rule out C-sections the biggest problem in small toy dogs. I advise that if its your first time having puppies get books on that breed and talk to you local vet. Thanks Sara

well i had a chiwawa and my pal had 1 mine was a girl and when they shagged mine took 59 days before she when into labour hope that helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am ayoub.i am not really sure of the time.but i know that it is more than 2 months; because my dog(Buffy) is pregnant too;and i am still waiting it has been more than 2 months so i would like to tell you what i know.that's all
