What does it mean if my ferrets been coughing almost like dry heaving?

I don not know the answer - but I own two (normally VERY healthy) and very well loved ferrets.  They have never been sick - however, through their shedding season right now - they keep coughing/ dryheaving.  I know this doesn't answer - but maybe it will at least let you know others are doing it.
