I am looking for the right puppy for our family and am considering an Irish Wolfhound.  Our children are grown.  I am home during the day with my business and take a 3 mile walk daily around a lake.  My questions about this breed are these:  can they be let off lease if hiking in the woods (my husband is an avid hiker); do they drool or slime?  Our last dog was perfect except for the slime he slung on walls and people! Do they shed alot?  Thanks in advance to answers to these questions.
