Nothing like finding a dead beat parent!!! A criminal is a criminal. Some rights should  be denied while settling a criminal act. However, sufficient proof should be submitted along with the request of locating someone by using their SS#.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO COLLECT FROM A DEADBEAT PARENT, IT IS A JOB BEST LEFT TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. THEY KNOW HOW TO FIND THEM AND HOW TO HANDLE THINGS AFTERWARD. WHAT WOULD YOU DO ONCE YOU FOUND THEM? "PAY ME OR ELSE"? THAT WILL GET YOU REAL FAR.

go to local child protective services.
or "support enforement" office.

but why can't you find the father ?

you may need to prove it by going to civil
court and filing a paternity suit. very expensive.

good luck.

any search engine will pop up several costly people finder web sites.

start locally. if the father left you, that sounds alot like abandoment to me. but if you never told him that you were pregnant and now you want to have a relationship, i think your to late and should have thought of it earlier.

good good luck

If you have the ssn and birthdate, great!!

Do a search on Lexis Nexis. If the person has a current Drivers licence, you can find him/her. Also you can find out if they own a home and where it is along with any phone number they have in their name.

By the way, Lexis Nexis does cost money, but... there is a way out of this..

Go find a Law student, get them to look it up.. they get access to Lexis Nexis.. it is included in their Law School Enrollment.

I hate lawyers!!

hehe.

My biological mother disappeared almost 28 years ago. From everything I have researched(and that would be a lot), it is illegal to obtain or distribute personal information on anyone based solely on their SSN. I recently have been informed, however, that you can go to the SS office and they can tell you if the person is alive or not.  If the person is alive, they should be able to forward a letter for you. I have not yet tried this but plan to.

Hey, Everyone's deadbeat dad: stop whining, yourself. Takes male sperm to make a child, too; looks like the fault is split even, so the cost should be too. Either parent should be given access to the location of the other no matter what the sex (gender), barring endangerment, to make sure all the responsibilities are met, not just money.

I've read all of these postings and I'd like to leave a post for anyone that is interested.  First off, to the loser that made the post about these women should get a life, I think you need a life yourself first!  You're probably a deadbeat dad yourself... what a shame!  I am a man and I think your comments are just idiotic... but what more can we expect, the comment came from an idiot!  Any women that are interested, please allow me to introduce myself!  I am a Private Investigator who specializes in locating "Very Hard to Find" individuals!  My success rate is Outstanding, to say the absolute least!  Regarding a social security number, yes that does make the search much easier, and faster I might add!  Regardless, with or without it, I will find them for you!  I guarantee to find the person you are looking for.... yes I guarantee 100% I will locate the person, and fast!  For anyone interested in my assistance, please feel free to email me at:  wetrack4you@yahoo.com  I charge very little for locates as I enjoy doing them!  To find a deadbeat parent I do it for almost nothing, as I really feel for the innocent kids!  I'm happy to assist anyone who I can.  Like I said, I charge very little to locate deadbeat parents.... if I can help, please leave a post here or feel free to email me.  I look forward to helping anyone that I can!  Best regards to everyone!  :)

Yes, you can find someone using just their ssn, type in ssn search on google, you'll find plenty of places,(some free some not.) and yes ,it's totally legal.  In any case, it won't matter, I have done that search and 1000's of others, given Child Support Services the info about my ex-husband(like you're supposed to "BARBERA") and guess what the proper authorities do? NADA. For the last ten years. The man at this point is litterally worth more to me dead. Too bad he won't just convieniently keel over. Oh, and to "Everyone's deadbeat dad"- my reply to you is this- I also PAY child support to a MAN.

To the guy who was complaining about the women...get a life. It seems like you have children you aren't taking care of, thats why you are acting the way you are. These men/boys now days think they can make the baby & than just take off & let the woman deal with it. Most of these fathers that take off don't want anything to do with these children they made. It takes 2 to tango! I don't think you know what you are talking about.
Another deadbeat dad I think! How about you ladies?

Go to child support services and they will do the work for you. Just fill out the paperwork (it doesn't cost you a dime) I did it in Ventura County, CA. It is the Ventura County Child Services Dept. Give the last known address, SS# and if you have his DL # even better, but with his SS# you have enough. They will garnish his wages wherever he works, if he quits and gets another job, they will garnish his wages at his new employment, they will follow the SS #. SS#'s are Nation Wide. Then they will suspend his driver's license, then if he drives on a suspended license and gets pulled over he will go to jail and his car will be impounded. Never depend on the money, Support your own child, never depend on anyone else to help you support them. Give the info to the authorities because he is half responsible for the child, but don't count on receiving anything, it is a nice surprise when you get a check in the mail! Use the money to take the kids shopping or pamper yourself, you deserve it! Children's services will keep track and they will send you monthly statements of the amount owed by him and will also send you any payments they may collect from wage garnishments. If he ever gets an inheritance or wins the lottery, you will be paid first. If he owns a home they will put a lien on it, he won't be able to sell it until he pays you what he owes. The most important thing is to put his SS number in the system, and if need it, go retroactive!

For those of you looking for a dead beat parent, start with local authorities ... support enforcement for example.  The more information you give, the better they can help you.

For the fellow who can not locate his family, don't know what to tell you.  Unfortunately, it is not against the law for mom to take off with her child.  But it sure sounds like something ain't right there.  Good luck.

Even if you go to the proper authorities it still can take time. I had everthing I needed he came to court accepted responsibility so say and I still have not receive a payment because he is an independent contractor  and is responsible for turning in his own paper work. They say they will have to reserve him. And to the one who said take care of the baby yourselfThere are a lot of women who are. That does not give a man a right to shake off his responsibilities and you must either be dumb or a deadb-beat yourself ASSHOLE.
