Although the calves and abdominal muscles have been grouped together, calves can be trained daily only if recovered sufficiently and depending on the nature of the exercise.  However, I have exercised my abdominal muscles daily for more than a year with excellent development.  An important note:  Daily development of the abdominal muscles depends on HOW you exercise them.  I use daily 'abdominal compressions' as my main exercise.  This is a special exercise I have developed over the past 15 months with outstanding results.

Absolutely, yes.  But let me qualify this answer.  I have specialized in developing exercises for abdominal and calve muscles without straining other muscle groups, (e.g. lower back, knees, etc.).  The development of my calves have led to 'striated' calves, and few can match my abdominal development (e.g. moving into an '8 pack rather than the usual '6 pack') using specialized exercises that are intense but will allow recovery withing the same day for both muscle groups.  If you are interested, email me at: absfitness@msn.com.  Be sure to put 'abs fitness' in the Subject line as I filter all my email.  Happy abs development.

Yes, and no. It depends on what it is you're trying to do:

YES, you can, meaning that nothing can stop you from doing it.

NO.....if you're actually trying to accomplish something. Please read my article about abdominal training at this location for further details, as there is not enough space here in order to explain sufficiently:
