60 amp fuse replace in a fuse panel with fuse pulls.  replaced 4 60 amp fuses with new 60 amp fuses.  Smelled burning in fuse box area. pulled the box out and all four were burned

time to bite the bullet and call in an electrician.sounds like your fuse box may be telling you that age has had a bad effect on it.
