I have 2 questions. I am in the army but want to get my labret pierced. I was wondering if it is all that visible without the stud in. I figure I can get away with it if it is hard to see. Second question is, I want to get a PA but was wondering how painful it is, and how long it takes to heal. Also, I heard that you had to be hard when you got it.....myth,truth? It's a little hard to go to my piercer and ask because I am stationed in South friggin Korea so I have to depend on people that have had it done.

no, its not that visible. also, i recommend not taking it out, but getting a clear plastic retainer. these are like labret studs, but they are clear. there is no ball on the end of it, but only a small clear disc-shaped end. it is hard to notice.

I've got a guyfriend that has his labret peirced, and when it's out there's a barely noticable hole, like a nose peircing. It is noticable, but I don't think you'd get in trouble. Problem is, labrets take 6-8 weeks of healing time before yo can remove the stud you got it peirced with.
I don't think that'd work for ya.
