Dogs could suffer from diabetes and hyperglycaemia can cause frequent urination.Check with your vet.

It might be a bladder infection.  I agree with Goldee, take your baby to the veterinarian ASAP.

Hi,
You have probably already solved the prob. but your puppy may be suffering from cystitis (bladder infection) rather than diabetes, etc. It would be far more common in puppies. You can try Vit. C (which acidifies the urine making it an environment less likely for bacteria to flourish, if that doesn't help or you see some blood in the urine see your vet and get the pup on antibiotics. It is also possible(you didn't mention the pups age) that it is perfectly normal..young pups urinate a lot! Good luck, Suzan

your puppy may have urachal diverticuli and/or a bladder infection.  Bladder infections are easily detected by doing urine test.  If left untreated, bladder infections can travel via the ureters to the kidneys and cause an infection.  Take her to the vet.

No answer, I have the same problem. My four month old knows to go to the door, but will urinate everywhere in the house. She leaks down the flight of stairs, she goes all day everywhere, and it is driving us crazy. I am a stay at home mom-so she gets plenty of time, attention, love, positive reinforcement, so what am I to do? Thanks

My Doberman pup pees at least every
four hours......almost 4 months old.
I guess that's normal given the other
pet owner's comments.  I am going to
put some cranberry juice into her water
and give her some vit. C and see if this
improves things.

my puppy cocker spaniel 6 months has to pee frequently also - every 1-2 hours.  No UTI and now vet wants her tested for an anomaly or genetic problem.

It's aggravating, I know. My puppy is peeing up a storm, then running back inside to drink more water. Excitement maybe?
