i have a 90 plymouth sundance, i lost the only key to the car, the car is to old to get a new one from the dealer and the locksmith wants $85 to come to the car and make a new key, can i pop the door lock myself without causing more damage

bite the bullet, get a new key made.anything you do is gonna cost. damage to lock new or used lock, your time spent working on it. call the man.

You should be able to pop out the lock, then get a new key cut out by taking it to a locksmith. It will save lots more than having him come out

if the set up is the same as a 95 neon sliding a flat cookie sheet down the window and into the door should pop the lock.
