Will someone PLEASE tell me how to install a transistor between the  breaker points on my 750 Honda motorcycle - the electrical load of the ignition coils wears them out pretty fast - I just would like the the points to trigger the transistor to fire the coils - but I do not know how to connect it or what type of transistor to use.
Thanks.

Jack, If you don't have your problem fixed by now, its too late.  I believe your problem is simply a bad (or wrong) condenser.  It is really just a capacitor that limits the current flow across the contacts which causes the pitting.
