My 10 month old yellow lab is doing the same thing.  I recently came to the conclusion that it is a partial seizer due to canine epilepsy.  I am not sure if there is a cure, or if there is what it is.  Maybe you can help me if you have found something out.

My 8 month toy poodle does the same thing.  He has been diagnosed with ensephalitus, and the cause of this is not yet known.  I will be getting the results back in a few days.  The Dr's said it is due to either an infection or an autoimmune disorder.
