Can and will Michelle Kwan go to Nationals in Atlanta in January, even though she has chosen to sit out the "Grand Prix" of events leading up to it?

Michelle Kwan can compete in nationals without competing in the Grand Prix. The events are not held in conjunction with each other and therefore the results of either do not effect the other.
