When somebody writes Seasons Greetings,is an apostrophe appropriate in Seasons?  My argument (with some co-workers)is that it is not correct to add an apostrophe.  The Seasons are not givng the greetings unless they are personified.  Instead, somebody is collectively giving the greetings of the Holiday Season.  Please advise.

The apostrophe is required. It indicates the possessive case. "season's greetings" means "greetings of the season".
