I have successfully called a VC++ application in linux using the wine software. The S/W that I called in linux using wine is an OCR. In this  VC++ (windows) application we gave options to open  output  file of  the application  in .txt, .rtf, .html formats using notepad, wordpad, Netscape Navigator respectively. In linux the first 2 options works well. ie, i could open the output file in notepad & wordpad. But  I want to open the output file in native linux editors. ie, i want to open the file using gedit, kword etc. I would like to know 1) can i call native linux editors through wine, 2) can i bypass the call to linux system from wine . Kindly guide me so that i can open the output file in native linux editors.
