I have heard that there is a new breed that is a cross between a Labrador and a poodle.  Do you have any information on this subject.  Thanks

I have heard about this also. I believe they come from Canada and they are called Labradoodles. I know that sounds dumb but a lady from a pet shop told me about them.

they come from Australia, and are supposed to be great dogs.  Go to the search engine and type in Labradoodles and you can get some great sites.

People are starting to breed poodles with other dogs and mixing their names. These dogs are not yet recognized as registered breeds though. I think the reason that they started breeding poodles with other dogs is because they are so inbred that they need stronger bloodlines in them!

The reason they are breeding many dogs with poodles is to result in a non-shedding dog.  My understanding is that the mother has to be the poodle in order for this to be effective.
