How i open  binary file read data(fixed number of bytes) from a selected offset using visual basic

Example, the file is: c:\name_file.dat
sub open_binary()
dim ch as string
dim name as String
name = "c:\name_file.dat"
Open name for binary as 1
While EOF(1) = False
ch=Input(1,#1) '1 Byte
wend
close 1
end sub
you can: Input(2,#1) 2 Bytes
