My heater is working but my blower is not blowing the heat...

My heater is working but my blower is not blowing the heat into my car. I have a 1995 VW Golf 4 cly.(gas) and I was wondering where the blower is located, and how I could fix this problem.

my blower motor is working but it makes lots of noise it use to just not blow alot of heat in the car but it did defrost how can i fix this.

First of all, Check that the blower fan is working, by turning on the fan switch on at different speeds.

Secondly, check the temperature gauge on the dashboard is around 90" degree centigrade. If it is only showing less than 70 degrees then I suspect that The thermostat is faulty.

If the fan is working, the problem could be in thermostat that may be opened up due to age.I had similar problem on my 1994 golf 3. When I tested the thermostat its rubber washer had worn out and was in opened state.

After fitting the new thermostat, my car got warmer faster and runs more economically.
