Hey, I've had a similar problem with counterstrike causing my computer to restart.  What kind of hardware do you have?  I'm curious if it's a hardware compatibility issue.  I'm running on a Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum with a P4 3.06HT and a PX400 chipset.  If anyone figures this out please drop an e-mail my way.  e-mail: collegeguy314@hotmail.com

I recently had the problem of my machine rebooting when playing CS. I tried all the easy stuff memtest defrag cleaing the machine virus scan adaware nothing worked.I had a feeling it was a memory problem so I pulled one stick of ram at a time and whalla I can play to my hearts delight. So at this point im pretty comfortale that it was a bad stick of system ram. Not to rule out the ram on your video card but that would be a little tougher to test as you cant just pull the ram off a card as you do the mother board.Hope this helps some of you and if you would like more details feel free to email me at hatsnail@maine.rr.com.

Yes Counter-Strike is a great game. This problem occurs when you play with other players online sometimes because some people are hackers. These people have no life whatsoever. I would suggest that you uninstall Counter-Strike from your computer and then re-install it. If controls do have something to do with it, try accessing the controls from a splash screen or something.
