I am an American Citizen and my wife is a green card holder. Because we're having our first child, we are conteplating an au pair/in-home child care.  Since we would feel more comfortable having one of my spouse's family members providing in-home care, we need to know the procedure of having them come here before the baby is done.  The family member will be working for us, in which we will provide all of their room and board, vehicle, etc.  We will also provide a monthly salary.  Ultimately, the family member may want to apply for permanent residency.  What is the first course of action for employing my spouse's family member who is from another country?
