The best way to rid your house of fleas.....
Go to Home Depot or a similar store, find boric acid in powder form.  On the bottle it says it is for roaches, but it will kill the fleas and their eggs for good.  It is pet safe and after you bathe your pets you should be rid of your pests forever!!

Build a flea trap (one in each room is good)...

a) suspend a lightbulb over a shallow pan of soapy water - you can
purchase those adapters that allow you to screw lightbulbs into them
and plug them into an AC outlet, then use a disposable aluminum cookie
sheet underneath and pour the sudsy water into it.

b) at night, fleas will jump towards the light and drown

This may not be the whole answer, but it definitely helps. You can
replenish the soapy water (I used dish detergent) when the water
evaporates.

Simply take a flea comb and brush your cat daily. Remember you cant get rid of fleas, you can only take over them. Vacuum sanatize your house monthly, and vacuum weekly. Make sure to spray your flea comb with windex every second day aswell, and soon, you will be under control of the pesty fleas.

for fleas on cats, give them a bath (or rub them down) with vinegar using an old rag.. the strong sour smell will suffocate the pesky fleas. this should be done once every 2 months.

poop on it! poop on the cat, and poop on the cat's face, specifically! if you need to, you can poop on the floor a little and smear it around some.  this should take care of any fleas and flea eggs along with the cat's poop and the flea's poop.  once you've done this, you won't have to clean the litterbox anymore and your cat with be flea free for good!

I got home after a three day journey, and my house was INFESTED, and I MEAN INFESTED!  I tried straying some stuff from Home Depot, and then tried Borax, and they were still kicking.  Someone told me about SIPHOTROL - I sprayed it and within a couple of hours, the fleas were totally gone.  It's been 3 days now, and keeping my fingers crossed, have seen NONE.
