I have hosted an after school scrabble club (fifth and sixth graders only) for a short 6 week period and now would like to host a Scrabble tournament for multiple schools.  I would love suggestions from others who have done this in the past.  I would enjoy:
* Good suggestions for sponsors.
* Prize suggestions.
* Age limitations.
* Ways to get kids excited about the game / tournament.

Thanks,
PP in California

It is really hard to get good sponsors... it is really about getting your community involved... do fundraising for prizes... or ask if people can donate prizes.

Prizes for a small in-town tournament shouldn't be cash; board games (all sorts from hasbro, boggle, pictionary), make sure everybody walks away with something

5th to 8th grade on age limitations

Talk about it during your sessions; hand out flyers
