I am adding pot lights to a non-insulated basement ceiling. Can I run standard 14/2 from the panel to separate junction boxes for each light, located in the space above the pot locations, then BX cable from the junction boxes to the fixtures. Is this the right way to do this.  Thanks

Why would you use a junction box ?  Run the wire from the panel to the switch.  Then you can use bx (I dont see why you cant just run romex) to the lights

No No NO.  Simply run the wire to connect all lights...just like when you were a kid and connected the dots!!!

Pot lights have their own junction boxes and do not require separate JB's 14/2 indoor wire (Romex)is sufficient. Each circuit should not exceed 1200 Watts.
