If you're using Outlook, go to the sent items folder and click on the message that you sent.  Then go to "actions" and you should find an option to recall the message.  Click on it.  A box will open up giving you the option to delete unread copies of the message or delete and replace with a new message.  There's also a box to check to inform you if your recall failed or succeeded.  Don't know about other programs but I guess they have similar features.

I have outlook express, have today sent an email to someone I shouldn't have, but I cannot locate any recall message options.  I have been through everything on my screen.  I have also tried all the help indexes I can think of but still no luck.  Why do I not have this option?  Can anyone help me please?!!!!

That doesn't actually work the way you think it might.  The recipient will get a message that the email has been recalled, BUT the original email will also be there for them to read.

The only good thing about this is the recipient knows that YOU know you shouldn't have sent it.  Not sure how much that helps though.
