I have to agree with smartass that tampons are non-sexual, I don't care how many times smartass tried. And I wasn't "smoking" the last time I had to insert one. A "BRIAN" is a bad thing to waste. Virginity has ONLY to do with sexual intercourse. A good example would be mary and the immaculate conception, or the VIRGIN Mary. Why is she the VIRGIN MARY? because she did not have intercourse to conceive baby Jesus. They did not have tampons 2000 years ago..but I do thank God for tampons. Tampons have only been around since the 60's. Virginity and sex were here before fire and hand carved tools. I am not worried that my daughters virginity will be stolen by a tampon, so you shouldn't either. Virginity is gone with the first sexual partner. He better be worth it!

No, of course not. Being a virgin means you have never had sex. It doesn't matter where you stick the tampon but if you've never had sex then you're still a virgin.

Technically you still will be a virgin but for all intents and purposes you will not be if you break the hymen then that is the only way to prove that you are a virgin by having it unbroken so you will appear no different than any other non-virgin. Might as well celebrate getting that over with by having some real sex, unless your virginity was something you were upholding as a mental ideal for yourself, in which case you can still believe you retain spiritual virginity since you no longer retain physical virginity so it will have to be your definition you maintain as oppopesed to a doctor/licensed medial practioner's definition of physical virginity.

Once again you do not affect your virginity in any way by using a tampon. You have a wall referred to as the hymen. The tampon does NOT reach that wall. It will not break it or cause you to lose your virginity. As for receiving some form of sexual satisfaction from using a tampon, that is ridiculous. The only thing you get from using a tampon is the satisfaction of knowing you are well protected during your menstrual cycle.

your are a virgin until u have been penetrated by a mans penis. tampons have nothing to do with this at all. even if your hymyn get broken you will still feel some pain the first time and will noticibly be a virgin. your hyman can break from falling of your bycycle or playing sports or using tampons, etc. also some women aren't even born with hymans. dont worry! its ok to use tampons, you will still have your virginity! anyone who says otherwise is a total idiot!

The condition of the hymen isn't an accurate definition of virginity. A virgin is someone who has never had sex. How can inserting the tampon be the same as sex?! The �hymen� which seems to be so ridiculously sacred is just a piece of skin-like tissue that stretches partly across the opening of the vagina. However, if you are particular about the hymen, then remember that inserting a tampon may stretch or tear the hymen, though this is rare. And even if a tampon does break the hymen, you are still a virgin till you have had a sexual intercourse.

i would say you are still a virgin. to me, losing one's virginity means engaging in consenting penile-vaginal intercourse with another consenting person. i don't feel that rape counts.

i have been usign tampons for 4 years now and i got told by the doctor that my hymne has torne becuase of this! so that can happen however the first tiem i had sex i expierienced no pain waht so ever but i herd that if you are born with a hymen then there is cnaces that you will bleed and expierience sme pain!

i think that if someone uses a tampon it means you are not a virgin, this is because you are sticking something into your vagina and you hurt yourself on your "first time" which means you have penatrated your hyman. i just think that you should use a pad so you dont lose your virginity.

Being Rape means you can lose your virginity.Having any sex encounters with the lower part to break the tissue, you can lose your virginity. But a tampon is like toilet paper it is soft so it would not break the tissue.Only people without a doctor's info would beleive a tampon would break the tissue.

OK a tampon can even reach all the way to the hymen any ways so defiantly yes and another thing is u can break the hymen by stretching plating sports or anything that has to do wit opening your legs a lot so when u go to the doctors they cant really tell if you are not't't a virgin but even if u are a virgin you should tell the truth because if u have something wrong with you the doctor will know and they cant tell your parents unless you are like 5 or really young so of course you are are still a virgin using tampons only if u have sexual intercourse with a boy!! :-)

uhh..i never use tampons cause im scared of putting anything in my vagina. lol i know this sounds strange, but i have some sort of a feeling that inserting something in there will hurt. i think i'll just wait till im married before i have anything up there.

Theoretically a virgin is someone who's never had sex before. But in some cultures, virginity is determined by the condition of the hymen. From some of the replies, obviously some idiots do not know that. It's really sad how rude and mean some people can be.
