     I want to blank the monitor when required. I went through several documents where it is explained how this is achieved. As per my conclusion the code below should blank the screen
WRITE_PORT_UCHAR(SEQUENCER_INDEX_REGISTER,0x01 );
WRITE_PORT_UCHAR(SEQUENCER_DATA_REGISTER, vga_state.ClockingMode | 0x20 );

Though this works for some adapters, it doesn't work for others. Is there something else that I need to do or there is an alternative way to achieve the same.

Thanks in advance,
Sachin
