I have a 1991 gmc truck with a rebuilt tranny and engine. My problem is when I pull my boat (1500 lbs) it will travel at hiway speed for about 100kms in overdrive then it will suddenly gear down to 3rd gear and stay there. but if I stop for 1/2 an hour and go again it will go to overdrive again. I am getting a code 68 which is tranny slipping. Tranny shops say I should be in o/d because it is the 4l80e tranny with 350 motor. please help
