JRTs live about 12 to 15 years, but there always exceptions to the rule. As to the color of their eyes I will refer you to the National Kennel Club at www.nationalkennelclub.com you can get all kinds of information on the qualities of the JRT.

I had a jack russell cross, and he was beautiful. He lived until he was 15 but he did have two operations for cruciate ligament problems as a puppy, and he had really bad arthritis, which was what finally made it imppossible to keep him. It broke my heart to see him suffer, and also it broke my heart to let him go (still does after 2 years) but we had to do, it would not have been fair to Jason to keep him. Gosh we loved that little boy, and we told him so, every day of his little life.
