it effects our dreams by listening to the words...alot of people say that what your thinking about, hearing, and talking about right before you go to bed is what you will dream about.

music compliments your thoughts.  if you listen to loud obnoxious music, it causes frustration and you will be frustrated when you fall asleep.  if you listen to classical, your thoughts will flow more comfortably and you will not have the frustration.  of course music affects your dreams, because your dreams are you and you are listening to music.

I would say it does, because if I listen to calm music or even watch a calm movie then I either don't dream or I have good dreams. If I listen to hard rock like I usually do then I have bad or dirty dreams.

I think what type of music you listen to definitley is the deciding factor on what you dream.  If you listen to soft, classical music, you are more likely to have a good dream. If you listen to rock, you might have a frustrating dream.

Hey i'm doing the same project and i found if you look in a encyclopedia you can find out about different dreams. If you find out about those different dreams it can help you decide on what kind of dream they had and if they really had a dream! I just can't seem to find any research on how music really affects the dreams!

Music is proved to effect your dreams and your attitude too. When you listen to rock or very loud music, your dreams are confusing, werid, or/and have some kind or type of a scene the music was about; and then when you wake up your not that rested up.. But when you listen to music like classical, your dreams are flowing, calm, or/and when you wake up your freshen up or something like that. to me, rock sounds better and loocer.

How does music effect your sleep-soft music is much better than hard rock because hard rock is hard on the mind because it is hard to consentrate on sleep and low music like soft and soothing music helps your sleep because it can get boring and your mind and go to work on sleeping and begin to show images of your dreams

heck Yeah music effects your dreams, if you listen to the words and get the feeling of the music you are listening to, then your dreams will reflect how that music or lyrics made you feel.

well.. i think it depends on who the person is.. like for instance:
i find listening to post hardcore rather soothing.. but R'n'B or rap or alot of those kinds of music irratates me.
soo.. i always have a really good sleep if i listen to heavy music. it doesnt usually effect my dream... soo? yeah thats my input.

I guess it does. I listened 2 Screamo... and had some wild dreams. Then the next day I listened 2 calm, classic music... I didn't dream about anything.
Then I listened 2 country and had a calm, chill dream.

yes music leaves a deep impact on our mind and sleep. i can say that because when i used to learn rock i used to get bad dreams. since i have clicked to semi classical music i get soft dreams nd after my music classes i get sound sleep and feel pretty more relaxed.

i think that it can because listening to music and the words definitely make you think about situations whether your friends or yourself ... whatever you think about before you go to sleep you usually dream about.

Well, Music affects you all around. It affects the type of friends u have, the type of dreams you have and even what yo like to do. It affects your dreams cause if u listen to calm music, you fall asleep faster and eaiser. If you listen to sum evil stuff, u wuld not be able to go to sleep so quickly and that would affect yor dreams because you would be sleep deprived and that would cause you o have bad dreams or just plain weird ones

I think it does affect our dreams, but mostly my thought affect my dreams, but then again, most of my thoughts are influenced by the music I listened to, like My Chemical Romance usually gives me dreams about me being sad, but also talking to girls; Panic! At the Disco gives me dreams about girls talking to me while I walking somewhere, or doing something; The All-American Rejects make me think about TV, like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and they pop up in my dreams. By the way, I love listening to music, so that could affect it to, like what you do in the day time.
