I have a question regarding itching.  My shihTzu has suffered from allegies for years also.  The vet has had him on many medications with positive results, but never last long.  I have read many of your answers and I was wondering if I need to change his dog food.  He has been on the same food for years.  As many were told do not feed them people food, but reading the websites everyday, I am finding that if you prepare the food correctly, it can be fed to them.  He is 12 years old and I would like for him to enjoy his golden years.  He is on benadryl, it helps, but makes him sleepy also.  He suffers from ear infections as well.  He is such a good companion, and he deserves the very best.  Seeking advice, help.
