I have recently purchased a Sony ICF-SW100E shortwave receiver. As you may know, this 'E' version does not come with the active antenna supplied with the 'S' version which was sold in the USA. This version comes only with a retractable wire extension which clips onto the telescopic whip of the radio. As I will be using this radio while travelling, and given the difficulties often encountered in reception in situations such as hotel rooms, I would like to get an active (loop?) antenna for this radio. Would anyone have any suggestions as to a suitable and well-matched model?

I find the Sony AN-LP1 Active Antenna works great. Around $90
