I would just like to ask you, I am a U.S. citizen, married for 3 years and abused mentally, and threatened these 3 years, have a restraining order against my husband now.  He had a final order of deportation issued on Feb. 2002 and was not picked up until Feb. of this year because he finally got caught going through the Port in Ft. Laud FL with his I.D. and was arrested and held at Krome.  He obtained a attorney and almost 30 days later they went before a judge and there was a joint motion to reopen the proceedings and remand for consideration of adjustment.  They had a old case reopened.  He goes back to court on Dec. 4 of this year.  In your opinion do you think that the deportation order will go back into effect?  There is a divorce filed on my husbands behalf because he believes if he hurries a divorce, he can petition himself.  He has been threatening for the past 3 years to take our daughter away if I divorce him and do not help him with this immigration deal.  I have recently found out he has sent all his clothes to Colombia, pays the electric, cable, phone, mortgage and even gives the mother of his 4 children there allowance.  I know it seems crazy, but I have evidence.  I will not rest till he is back to his homeland.  He has been threatening me for 3 years. We are now seperated for the 4th time and I will not take him back.  Three chances were rare, but the 4th is not going to happen, I am doing all I can to protect my children and myself, I have even written immigration and sent police reports and a copy  of the injunction.
Maybe the purpose of the divorce was to buy time in the U.S.  What do you think in your opinion will happen?  Since he had a final order of deportation for over a year, what are the chances of that going back into effect when they find out he lied about our marriage?
