If a person is over 65 years of age and gets a green card through his son who is US citizen and over 21 years of age then is he entitled to get any benifits like social security, medicare etc. Your FAQs mostly covers cases of persons intending to work here after getting the green cards but not such cases.

I AM 65 YEARS OLD AND JUST STARTED RECIEVING
MEDICARE,I AM ON MY HUSBANDS INSURANCE HE IS
59 BUT RETIRED. HIS INSURANCE REQUIURES WHEN
YOU REACH 65 YOU MOST GO ON MEDICARE. MY
HUSBANDS INSURANCE BECOMES SECONDDARY. MY
QUESTION I CALLED MEDICARE AND ASKED THEM
IF I WOULD LOOSE MY BENIFITS IF I WENT BACK TO WORK PART TIME AS A NURSE WITH NO BENIFITS
FROM EMPLOYER THEY REPLIED I WOULD LOOSE
MEDICARE. THE PERSON I SPOKE WITH, I HAD THE
INPRESSION HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. AND ALSO VERY RUDE, IN ANY
CASE I CAN'T GET ANSWERS FROM ANYONE IN
GOVERMENT. I FOUND NOTHING IN THE MEDICARE
BOOKLET. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP OR
GET ME STARTED ON THE RIGHT PATH. THANKYOU
