I don't know what sparks the question, but I had a problem where there seem to be no power the the cruise control.  The symptoms were when I press the on button, the light does not come on.  I finally conceded to take it to a mechanic.  They found the air bag spring in the steering wheel had gone bad.  They replaced it and said that this was very common for this part to go bad.  I checked for a recall from Chrysler.  At that time there was none.  I asked them to notify me if one was published.  Approximately 6 month later, I was re-embersed for the cost of the repair, because a recall notice was sent out.

I hope this helps.
