If someone is here on a J1 visa as an au pair, can that person change status to student visa, and if so, what does she have to do, how long does it take, how many classes does she have to take.

I guess it is possible and you have to do it before your present status expires.

I'm in the same situation and from what I have gathered,this is what I have to say.
