I heard red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper sprinkled on the yard will do the trick.  I have never tried this on the yard but I know that if you spray the outside of your garbage bags that you leave at the curb for the garbage man with regular "fantastic" spray cleaner it will keep animals from getting into them.  Most dogs use smell to determine where they will go to the bathroom, maybe if you used the Fantastic spray everywhere you know they have been in the yard they will get discouraged.  I don't know what the Fantastic will do to the grass though.

like it or not, you're  going to have to spray them with a hose when they come on your yard.  like  all animals, dogs like a  private place to do their business.  the shock of cold water in the face will make your yard a less desirable bathroom.

I know that this sounds insane, but it is a definate solution to your problem.  And you should only do it if you do not live in a populated area.  You need to get a gun.  Now I love animals and would never EVER shoot a domesticated one, but I know from experience this works.  Fire a couple shots above the animals head.  Last year, a mangy neighbor's dog came up to my precios Black in Tan when she was in her first heat at the age of 6 months.  I yelled at the dog, but he would not leave her alone.  I grabbed the .22 and shot of a round into a nearby tree.  He never came back. :)

After you go to the bathroom in your house, scoop your poop out of the toilet and toss it into your neighbor's yard. If they complain, tell them you'll stop throwing your poop into their yard when their animals quit pooping in yours.
