Hi vinyltocdr!
I own this piece of equipment. It is great to backup analog recordings (as I did with my cassette tapes - don't mind the quality, but they aren't lost). The features are great (automatic or manual indexing, synch start and stop, selectable copy protection and many more). I would recommend to use CDRWs to create the backup (you can erase a track if there is something not perfect and record again) and then to make copies of that onto CDRs with a PC. We tested some recordings on a high end audio system at my friend's place and there is almost no distinguishable difference to the original vinyl source. For the price this unit is great and will allow the analog fan to preserve the old analog sources as closely as possible.
Regards
Mic

Buttons are a bit small, record level knob very small, display (meters) hard to read at an angle. Semi-Pro instead of full-Pro interfacing (RCA analog in/out, perfect for hi-fi use). Otherwise it gives 99% of the performance of my $999 audio CD recorders at half the price. And unlike using a PC, it never crashes. Very satisfied.
