Dear colinj, the Bee gees are completly Self taught Singers and Musicians..probably helps explain some of their unusual Harmonies and Chords which they use..also Barry Gibb tunes his guitar in a totally unique way...i have not seen any other writer tune his instrument in this way..it wouldn't be that unique if it wasn't for the fact that he does'ntchange it, he writes all the songs useing this tuning..he tunes useing a G chord in the Open tuning setting..all the usual chords would have to be played differently if you had learned the conventional method of Guitar tuning..I think this is why some of the music is so unique..
