I live in CT, but I just bought a house in New Hampshire. That house has a dish that was left by the prior owner (no receiver). If I subscribe to a satellite service in CT, can I take my receiver from CT, and hook it up to the dish in NH, when I am there for the weekend?

you will have to sign up for a service at your new home. Your benefit? You will not have to buy expensive equiptment to start it up. Just being/use your existing equiptment. If you have direct tv, you can call them and they will switch your service for the days you are at the second home. By the way, is this a vacation home? if so, i'dbe happy to develop a website for your new vacation home (in case you want to rent it out) in exchange for some time there. I do that on occassion, as i have with these sites: www.montanaloghome.com, www.sweetsage.org and www.missymullin.8k.com
cheers,
